Bringing pastors, congregations and individuals together to be the hands, feet, heart and voice of Christ in our communities in Franklin County, VA.

 

Our Mission: Why We Have Formed This Alliance

​

We live in a world full of idols, graven images, and false doctrine that pulls us away from the Gospel and the teaching of Jesus Christ.  We lament that our neighbors and community try to find hope and salvation from things of this world instead of God.  The Christian Alliance of Franklin County (CAOFC) works to show the Gospel of Jesus Christ in action.  We make it our mission to show others that God is alive and that the saving grace of Jesus Christ is truth.

 

The CAOFC will work through the pastors, congregations, individuals, and non-profit entities that share this same desire.  Service, however, will be a paramount part of our work.

 

• The CAOFC will work with congregations to enhance their own ministries as well as help them develop ministries in their neighborhoods based on need and resources.  This includes working with churches to allow pastors, congregations, individuals and non-profit entities from other churches and denominations to help them with their ministries. 

• The CAOFC will bring to light needs from our partners that may not been seen or heard in normal ministry and business, such as homelessness and home transitioning care and food security.

• The CAOFC will connect congregations together through prayer, service, and love to help build bonds of Christian fellowship and stewardship.

• The CAOFC will provide a forum for pastors and church leadership to discuss issues that span across our denominations and our communities.

The CAOFC is a group of support and not a competing ministry or social club.  We will not provide ministry that overlaps the existing ministries that we work to enhance and develop through partner congregations, groups, and individuals.

Services That We Can Help With

​

Participants in the Christian Alliance of Franklin County have varied gifts and talents that are utilized to meet various needs in our community.  Some of those include: 

​

• Carpentry (small repair or renovation projects)

• Plumbing (small repair or renovation projects)

• Electrical (small repair or renovation projects)

• Cleaning (assistance w/housework for the elderly and/or disabled)

• Cutting/Delivering Fire Wood

• Providing/Delivering Food

• Providing/Delivering Meals

• Clothes Closet (items/sizes vary)

• Baby Supplies (diapers, wipes, hygiene products, etc)

• Shopping for Shut-ins 

• Other helps on a case by case basis

Assistance given will depend on volunteers and resources available at the time of the request.
